Basketball Service Project - Bedside Healers
It gave me great pride yesterday to accompany our players to Crittenton Hospital. We donated 50 Bedside Healers to their ER; for children that will enter scared or in need of comfort. We attached a team photo of the boy's to each Bedside Healer, so they will know who cared enough to make a difference. The adults commented on our teams manners and willingness to give back within their community. Some things are: "Bigger Than the Ball," and this defenantly qualifies, a job well done by our Varsity Boy's Basketball Team.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Stoney Creek boy's had a season to remember.
Coach Steve Norgrove completed his 4th season at Stoney Creek. Winning 15 games and tying the school record for wins and 2 postseason wins in a season is a first. Eventually losing to Clarskston in the district final, Stoney's 2nd district final in 4 years.
At the banquet the notable award winners are Charlie Carson MVP and Jack Allen won the prized "Garth Pleasant" Sportsmanship award. Charlie Carson, now hold 5 school scoring records and Pat Mertz holds 2. Both are senior captions and were 3rd year varsity players. Eric Gilgenbach, also 3rd year varsity is a junior and was awarded the Cougar Award for academincs, athletics and attitude.
The Stoney Creek Boy's Basketball team had 11 of 14 players carry a GPA of 3.2 or above. We capped off our season by contributing to the community by participating in March Reading Month. We had team members read at Baldwin and North Hill.
