I was SOOO impressed with our team on Saturday at the Old Skool Classic! Many individual runners put forth great effort and prevailed. On a course with hay bails, river crossings, long stretches of sloppy mud, and a brutal hill, 12 girls and 16 boys ran season PRs! Sorry about all of the exclamation points, but that is phenomenal!!! In addition, we were literally all over the course cheering each other on.
All of the above is what Stoney Creek Cross Country is all about.
The boys finished 4th out of 13 teams, one spot from a trophy, but a strong performance nonetheless.
The girls claimed 1st place out of 10 teams ... edging out 2nd place by only 1 point. Every point counts, and your grit made the difference!
Individual medalists were: Amelia Kuntzmann, Paige Sinacori, Cameron Tsivitse, Rachel Ko, Abbey Fallon, Alec Wycoff, Ryan McLean, Ashlyn Moran, Reece Chambers, Rachi Willard, Sophia Mai, and Nick Renke.
